Donna Fair

Director of Partnerships & Community Engagement

Donna joined the Freedom Communities team after serving as Life Navigator for CrossRoads Corporation in the Grier Heights neighborhood of Charlotte and a decade as the Wellness Ministry Director at Myers Park Presbyterian Church. A graduate of Hampton University and the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, Donna worked for 12 years as a Program Coordinator for the Mecklenburg County Treatment Court Programs focused on Youth Treatment and Mental Health. Prior to that she also worked as Program Manager for the Louise Giles Center (formerly the Emergency Winter Shelter), Case Manager for Area Mental Health, and as a paralegal for a criminal defense law firm. Always a proponent of addressing the “whole self,” she received her Masters of Divinity Degree from Union Theological Seminary in 2014 and is guided in life by the principle, “Whatever you do for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you do for me.”

Why Freedom Communities?

“I saw Freedom Communities as a place that was interested in investing in people at both a personal level through programs and services but also at the community level through collaborative engagement and advocacy.”
