Thursday Nights, 6:00 – 8:30 p.m.

Moms Moving Forward Workshop Host

Help our moms feel welcome, relaxed and well served during their monthly cohort Workshop. Home cooked meals are encouraged. Short, personalized, hand-written notes with an inspiring Bible verse for each mom are also most welcome! This is a great way to love and serve our moms and children through the gift of a hot meal and warm hospitality. Come early to prep, serve meals, and bus tables; and stay after to pack up leftovers for our families, and tidy up the Community Room space.

Roles include:

• Set up Community Room / Dining Space
• Provide Event Hospitality
• Host/Serve Homemade/Prepared Dinner
• Bus Tables, Clean up / Reset Community Room
• Provide dinner for Children & Childcare Volunteers

  • Thursday Evenings, year-round

  • Arrive by 6:00 p.m. for pre-event setup

  • Stay until event is through for cleanup / reset

  • Volunteers can serve in shifts if necessary (e.g. “Setup Shift,” “Hosting Shift,” “Cleanup/Reset Crew”)

  • Tuck Opportunity Hub

  • 3501 Tuckaseegee Road Church Building / Community Room

  • 4-6 volunteer slots

The First Thursday/Month • 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Dinner for “Sister Circle Time”

On the first Thursday evening of each month, all of our moms—current and alumni—are invited to attend “Sister Circle Time” (a.k.a. “Chat-and-Chew”). This group event is facilitated by a veteran West Charlotte leader, educator, and life coach who has a passion to create safe spaces for our moms to develop deep relationships with one another.

Volunteers have the opportunity to provide a light dinner for our moms to enjoy, which removes a potential barrier that might keep a mom from attending. The dinner menu is simple—sandwiches/wraps, a side, and drinks. Food for the children in childcare can be pizza or chicken fingers with a veggie or fruit side—easy to serve, easy to clean up.

  • The First Thursday/Month

  • Food needs to be dropped off & set up any time between 5:30-6:30 p.m.

  • This is a confidential space for our moms, so volunteers drop off the food before the event begins.

  • Tuck Opportunity Hub

  • 3501 Tuckaseegee Road Church Building / Community Room

  • 2-4 volunteer slots available

*Ongoing / Year Round Opportunity
