Hannah Beavers

Executive Director

Hannah Beavers has spent over a decade working in the social impact and holistic community development space as non-profit founder, board member, and consultant. Today, she inspires and spearheads change as the Executive Director of Freedom Communities.

Hannah lived in six different countries as a child and speaks four languages. This multicultural background ingrained her fierce advocacy for social justice, and gave her the ability to understand and solve problems holistically. She started her career with General Electric’s Energy business in various finance roles and leading multi-billion dollar business integrations. Most recently, she led the international non-profit, Mama Hope, as Chief Operations Officer, supporting 22 communities worldwide to build sustainable social businesses and communities.

She also serves on the Board of Directors for Stiletto Boss University, an entrepreneurship training program for high school girls.

Why Freedom Communities?

“Through Freedom Communities, I have the opportunity to apply the many lessons I learned in international community development to my home here in Charlotte. In this work, we’re able to blend grassroots and market driven approaches, and co-create solutions that include those closest to the problems, and those closest to the funding and power to influence change.”
