The last five years at Freedom Communities have been a journey of incredible growth, fueled by bold innovation and the resilience of our community. We started with a vision rooted in the belief that a child’s birthplace should not determine their destiny. Along the way, we’ve been blessed with incredible partners who have joined us in turning that vision into reality.

I often tell people that my love language is solving problems. This work has been a labor of love, marked by humbling lessons and complex challenges I never could have imagined. Yet, it is grounded in faith, courage, and an unwavering commitment to families.

In every prayer for our work at Freedom Communities, I ask the Lord to illuminate the path before us. I ask Him to provide us with wisdom, guidance, strength, and perseverance to follow His will. Without question, I know that the favor we have seen and the impact we’ve been able to make accordingly - is the fruit of many answered prayers.

Together, we’ve built homes where children can thrive, created spaces where dreams take shape, and launched programs that nurture the next generation. These transformations are a testament to the determination of the families we serve, the strength of our team, and the generosity of those who support us.

As the demand for our initiatives grows, so does our dedication to meeting the needs of our community. In the coming year, we will expand our childcare center, youth programming, and Moms Moving Forward initiative—critical investments in the future of the Freedom Drive Corridor.

From number 50 to number 38, Charlotte’s rise in upward mobility rankings highlights the power of innovative, place-based solutions like ours, which focus on early childhood and community transformation. While we celebrate this progress, we remain steadfast in our mission to create lasting change.
